Clàudia Pérez Rivas is a Spanish cellist currently based in the Netherlands, where she studies at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen. Her musical journey has taken her through Spain, Austria, and the Netherlands, experiences that have shaped her musical identity and fostered a strong interest in both orchestral and chamber music.
She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón and later obtained a Master’s degree at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona. She subsequently continued her training at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium in Innsbruck, where she earned a Konzertfach Diplom before moving to the Netherlands to continue her artistic development.
As an orchestral musician, she has collaborated with ensembles including the Noord Nederlands Orkest, Noordpool Orkest, the National Symphonic Chamber Orchestra, the National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia, and the Euregio String Academy at the Mozarteum Salzburg. These experiences have allowed her to work alongside musicians from diverse backgrounds and have strengthened her appreciation for collaboration and artistic exchange. She is also an active participant in music festivals and regularly performs with chamber music ensembles throughout the Netherlands.
Chamber music occupies a central place in her musical life. She is particularly inspired by the dialogue and shared creativity that emerge when musicians come together to shape a common interpretation. Beyond performance, she enjoys exploring ways to connect with audiences and create engaging concert experiences.
Curious, enthusiastic, and always eager to learn, Clàudia values opportunities to collaborate with inspiring musicians and mentors. Through her performances and ongoing studies, she continues to seek new challenges, broaden her musical perspective, and deepen her experience as a musician.
She has been student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica since 2026.
